\"\"Home<\/strong> of Spencers Wood Local History Group, a non-profit making group dedicated to researching and publishing local history in and around \u201cour village\u201d including Three Mile Cross and Grazeley in Berkshire.<\/p>\n

Our Blog<\/span><\/a>, occasional posts about items of current interest including posts drawing on work currently being undertaken by Group members and items published in Loddon Reach, the free community magazine formerly published by the Loddon Reach Benefice.<\/p>\n

Our village through time<\/span><\/a> The story of the development of Spencers Wood, Three Mile Cross and Ryeish Green and the impact on the lives of those who lived and worked there<\/p>\n

Resources<\/a> <\/span>donated to the Group or created by Group members which we hope will be useful to those studying the history of Spencers Wood and neighbouring villages and the families that have lived here.<\/p>\n

COME AND MEET GROUP MEMBERS 2024

The Group plan to take part in a number of local shows and events during the summer including<\/p>\n

Swallowfield Show – Bank Holiday Sunday and Monday, 25th and 26th August and<\/p>\n

Spencers Wood Carnival – Saturday 21st September on the Recreation Ground.<\/p>\n

Group members also usually attend the Repair Cafe<\/strong> held at Spencers Wood Village Hall on the first Sunday of every month and the Farmers Market<\/strong>, on the 3rd Sunday<\/p>\n

You can also join us at one of our regular monthly meetings at Spencers Wood Pavilion<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong> at 2.00pm on Tuesday afternoons.<\/p>\n

Dates of forthcoming meetings in 2024 are<\/p>\n

19th March; 16th April; 21st May;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>18th June and 16th July<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
